Characteristics
Japanese cuisine restaurant chain "Tokyo'' is a series of diverse and unique in its style objects on the territory of Primorsky Krai. This building is located on Cherkavsky Peninsula in Vladivostok and it is designed entirely for the restaurant function.
The concept is based on the "bamboo forest" assembled of structural wooden elements: a modern reading of the traditional construction methods of Japanese architecture.
The main facade is made of curtain wall system. The unifying element is the outdoor staircase whose unique design creates a "floating effect". Bearing structures of the stairs and wooden decor create an additional translucent layer separating the interior and exterior spaces.
The interior was designed by the Vladivostok studio LPTV DESIGN.
